GalMaxx Alpha® is a high corrosion resistance hot-dip galvanized steel sheet and coil with superior formability. It is a new generation of hot dip galvanised steel coil that contains predominantly Zinc, 5% Aluminium and 1% Magnesium.

GalMaxx Alpha® advantages were doubled by chrome-free thin organic coating(TOC) benefits to further enhance the performance of the untreated coating.

Alpha subtrate is our new generation of steel that contains of 95% Zinc, 5% Aluminium and a trace amount of Magnesium. Our product branding for non-painted material is recognised as GalMaxx Alpha.

As for coloured/prepainted material with Galmaxx Alpha substrate, it is branded as ColourMaxx Alpha which are coated with different customized paint systems and made into complete prepainted steel product for:

Thanks to its unique composition, Alpha performs more than 3 times better corrosion resistance of surface, cut edges and bend processed parts than standard galvanized consisting of the well-balanced Zn-Al binary eutectic phase and MgZn2/Al/Zn ternary eutectic phase.

Magnesium oxide is impermeable membrane that does not allowing fluid to pass through and difficult to be removed. While Zinc oxide eventually forming a protective passivating layer of the basic zinc carbonate, Zn5(OH)6(CO3)2, by reaction with atmospheric carbonate dioxide. Aluminium oxides are more stable and provide as lower corroding, more passive barrier.

To ensure a metal roof / metal wall cladding looks great and performs well, regular cleaning of the surface is very much recommended. It's crucial to use proper products for cleaning painted metal roofing / wall cladding to prevent against premature degradation and damage. Hence the life span of metal roofing can be extended by cleaning the paint film surface at least annually with mild detergent or clean neutral water. Abrasive or chemical cleaners are strictly not recommended.
Cooling Effect System will indirectly reduces thermal tension on the metal roofing by lowering temperature on the metal roof surface and reduce heat gain into the internal building resulting to a cooler living space, hence saves energy consumption, increases durability and extends the product life span. The way it works is when solar energy strikes onto the roof surface, Solar Reflectance will take place as solar energy will immediately reflected away . A certain amount of solar energy that is not reflected away from the surface will be absorbed into the outer surface of the roof, converted into heat and removed by convection. What is left will be re-emitted to the sky in the form of infra red energy, this is known as Thermal Emittance. With this system it will reduce consumption of fossil fuel and eventually friendly to our environment.
With Cooling Effect System in place, our Prepainted products are measured by Solar Reflectance Index (SRI). The high SRI values comply to the requirement of Green Building Index (GBI) as a rating tool. (depending on selected colours)
When pre-painted steel products are in service, dirt may appear on the surface causing coating degradation which includes colour change, gloss loss and chalking. The weathering of coated surface caused by sunlight (UV), high temperatures and moisture in the form of rain, dew and high humidity, may cause you to bear high maintenance cost to retain the exterior performance. Equipped with a custom formulated paint system that creates a hydrophilic effect known as ""Self Cleaning System"" will act as a barrier to prevent dirt from adhering and embedding into the paint film. This unique coating surface also helps to disperse water effectively, hence reduce maintenance cost over the years and extend the life span and colour durability of the material. "
